With the 2014 NFL Draft in the books, how do you think the Giants fared?

Happy Monday! Post-NFL Draft, let's see where the New York Giants stand.

First and foremost, here's the Giants' full class of 2014 picks. We're also tracking undrafted free agent signings here, and you can catch up on all our draft content right here.

Probably the biggest post-draft talk aside from actual pick evaluation: the Giants ignoring the tight end position. There might not be a bigger hole on the roster, as Ralph Vachianno of the Daily News reminds us. Adrien Robinson should get another solid look come training camp, but Vachianno even references one team source wondering how the Giants had zero interest in North Carolina's Eric Ebron, who went to the Detroit Lions at pick No. 10. From the front office's perspective, it seems, this class of tight ends just wasn't very impressive.

“The tight end position wasn’t a class we felt was very strong,” said Marc Ross, the Giants’ VP of player evaluation. “Even with a couple of the guys, there are things that to the outside eye you don’t know about that devalue them even more. We weren’t going to force any players or overvalue anybody or push them up because people may think we need a tight end.”

Ebenezer Samuel from the Daily News details the rags-to-riches story of third-round pick Jayson Bromley, the defensive tackle from Syracuse.

"It is not All About Eli, but it certainly is A Whole Lot About Eli," writes Paul Schwartz from the Post. To him, this draft was all about finding more weapons for Eli Manning. Listening to general manager Jerry Reese, it sure seems like that was achieved.

“We’re trying like heck,’’ general manager Jerry Reese said. “I think we have a weapon with Odell on the outside. We think he’ll help in respect to that. We think we have a center who we think can help, so yeah. We’ve got a big running back you can hand the ball to. Hopefully those things can help him out and get [Manning] back on track.’’

Also in the Post: not having a seventh-round pick helped the front office prep for the ensuing UDFA frenzy.

---

Before we bid the 2014 NFL Draft goodbye, there are four full rounds of picks still to come.

Recapping Rounds 1 & 2

So far, the New York Giants have addressed their needs with high-character, productive players who were all leaders on their college teams.

The Giants began by bolstering the depleted wide receiving corps with Odell Beckham Jr. out of LSU [Instant Analysis]. Friday night, the Giants surprised fans by selecting Colorado State center Weston Richburg in the second round and athletic Syracuse defensive tackle Jay Bromley in the third. [Instant Analysis]

Looking Ahead

With the most pressing of their needs addressed, Giants have four picks remaining. There are still plenty of talented players still available, and impact players are still there to be had.

As a reminder, the Giants traded their seventh-round draft pick for linebacker Jon Beason last year.

The New York Giants selected Notre Dame cornerback Bennett Jackson in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

With the No. 187 selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected Bennett Jackson, a cornerback out of Notre Dame, in the sixth round. Here are a few quick tidbits on the newest Giant.

Jackson attended Raritan High School in Hazlet, New Jersey. As a senior, he caught 40 passes for 729 yards and rushed 20 times for 350 yards. He also intercepted four passes on defense.

Following his career at Raritan, Jackson was rated a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and the No. 61 wide receiver in the nation. After being heavily recruited by Michigan State, Northwestern and Rutgers, Jackson chose to play wide receiver at Notre Dame.

After playing wideout as a freshman, Jackson converted to defensive back before his sophomore season.

As a junior, Jackson started all 13 games and recorded 65 tackles, 1.5 sacks, four interceptions and four pass break-ups -- all while playing the entire season with a torn labrum. Last year, he recored 64 tackles (five for a loss) one sack, one forced fumble, two interceptions and three pass break-ups.

In his senior season, Jackson was voted Notre Dame's special teams player of the year.

The Giants have completed their collection of captains. Now let's take a look and see what they got.

Well, that's it: The 2014 NFL Draft is in the books for the New York Giants. There was a common theme with each of the Giants' draft picks: they're all productive leaders who have received high praise for their character.

Undrafted free agency has yet to begin, though. Regardless, the Giants' last four picks have given us plenty to go over, so let's get to it.

Round 4

Pick 113: Andre Williams, RB, Boston College

Williams is another very high-character football player.

Williams is the same kind of back the Giants lost in Andre Brown: big, explosively powerful and more agile than he gets credit for. At 5'11, 230 pounds and with the kind of legs that give him a vertical leap of 38 inches and a broad jump of 10'9, he simply cannot be arm tackled. Williams also has good enough balance to bounce off shoulder blocks. Williams will power through anything but a good form tackle.

He's also one of the toughest runners in this draft. Williams was BC's offense in 2013, and he produced against pretty much every defense he faced. He finished his senior season with 2,177 yards, which ranks fifth on the NCAA all-time list for single-season rushers.

Like the rest of the Giants' draft picks, Williams is a very high-character player and team leader. Williams was a captain, Heisman Trophy finalist, Doak Campbell Award winner, teaching assistant, poet and aspiring author.

Round 5

Pick 152: Nat Berhe, Safety, San Diego State

Full disclosure here: This is a guy neither Invictus nor I scouted.

Unsurprisingly at this point, Berhe was a team captain at San Diego State with a reputation as a hard worker and aggressive player who lives football.

He isn't a spectacular athlete, or a rangy center fielder. Instead, Burhe reportedly has terrific instincts (which can make up for lacking athleticism, as it did for Chase Blackburn) and played the hybrid S/LB "Aztec" position. This pick could say something about the future of either Will Hill or Antrel Rolle, but Berhe isn't the same type of safety as either of those guys.

Pick 174 (compensatory): Devon Kennard, OLB, USC

Yet again, the Giants took a high-character team captain in Devon Kennard.

Kennard has received praise for his character, work ethic and professional approach. He was honored for having his team's top GPA and being USC's most inspirational athlete. Kennard also has excellent bloodlines, his father being an 11-year veteran on the offensive line and Super Bowl champion.

On the field, he is primarily a pass-rushing outside linebacker with good quickness and hand usage, as well as being effective dropping into coverage. Kennard brings versatility, playing inside and out, as well as with his hand in the dirt and on special teams.

Kennard has been injury-prone, but he started the entire 2013 season, recording 60 tackles (13.5 for loss), nine sacks, and four pass break-ups. The selection of Kennard could signal a shift in the Giants' defensive philosophy to something closer to what Denver and Seattle are running.

Pick 187: Bennett Jackson, CB, Notre Dame

Look at that ... another captain.

A converted wide receiver, Jackson has good size for a defensive back at 6'0,195 pounds. He also brings impressive athleticism with a 38-inch vertical jump, 10'8 broad jump, 4.00-second short shuttle and 6.75-second 3-cone drill.

It will likely take some time for Jackson to learn how to play defensive back at the NFL level, whether that is at cornerback or free safety (I favor the latter). In the meantime, he could make the team as a special teamer, but he has the upside to be worth taking the time to develop.

The Giants selected Nat Berhe in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft on Saturday.

With selection No. 152 in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected Nat Berhe, a safety from San Diego State.

Berhe has a message for the 151 teams who passed on him: He's coming.

I'm going to give everything I got to the @Giants and everybody who passed on me...I'm coming. #GodisGreat #Blessed #Amazed

— Nat Berhe (@NatBerhe) May 10, 2014

At 5-foot-10, 193 pounds, Berhe doesn't have the size of a prototypical safety, but what he lacks in measurables he more than makes up for in play-making ability. Last year, Berhe recorded 99 tackles, broke up six passes, sacked the quarterback once and ball carriers behind the line 5.5 times. While listed at safety, he actually played San Diego State's "Aztech" position.

The position, initially run by recently retired Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher at New Mexico, is a combination of the linebacker and safety positions.

"You can blitz off the edge, can come down in the box, can play deep pass, can line up in the slot, can play guys man-to-man," Berhe said. "You can do it all. The position usually makes a lot of adjustments on defense as well. They need to be a smart guy."

While Berhe brings natural instincts, he also brings an aggressiveness to the safety position. The 22-year-old said he looks to "take peoples' heads off" when he steps on the field.

"I try to be the biggest, baddest dude out there every time," Berhe said. "It's the way I play, the way I was taught to play. I just play with a lot of anger."

At San Diego State, Berhe was elected his team's captain. He becomes the fifth captain drafted by the Giants in this year's NFL Draft.

"I just try to be the biggest, baddest dude out there." - Nat Berhe

"It shows that you're a leader. You're a guy willing to stay after, whether that is in the film room or weight room," Berhe said. "To be a leader, I found out a lot you need to be willing to serve."

Once Berhe signs his rookie contract, he and last year's fifth-round pick, Cooper Taylor, will be the Giants' lone safeties under contract beyond 2014.

The New York Giants have made their second selection in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

With their second fifth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected USC linebacker Devon Kennard. The pick was a compensatory selection at No. 34 in Round 5 and No. 174 overall.

The 6'3, 255-pound outside linebacker left USC after finishing with 135 career tackles (13 for loss) and four sacks. Kennard was also a captain for the Trojans as a senior and posted the highest GPA on the team. His father, Derek, was an 11-year NFL offensive linemen with the Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys (1986-96).

Kennard is considered a smart, strong outside linebacker capable of dropping into short zones in pass coverage. He also can play all linebacker positions plus defensive end, and that versatility coupled with his mental approach and NFL bloodlines should give him a solid chance to crack the Giants' two-deep at linebacker.

We'll have more on Kennard and the rest of the Giants' picks throughout the day here on Big Blue View.

The New York Giants selected Boston College running Andre Williams with their fourth-round pick Saturday.

Andre Williams just kept on waiting.

As pick by pick and round by round passed, the Boston College running back waited eagerly for his named to be called. Despite being given a second-round grade by some, the round didn't matter, neither did the pick. Second round or seventh, Williams just hoped one team in particular would light up his phone.

"The Giants are the team from the begging that I really resonated the most with," Williams said.

In the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Giants selected the 6-foot, 227-pound back with the 113th overall selection.

"Honestly, I'm just elated right now," Williams said. "I had a great interview at the combine with coach [Tom] Coughlin and everybody, the whole staff there. We really just had a good vibe flowing in the room. I just had a feeling from that moment that this would be the team that would end up picking me up."

Last season, Williams led the nation in rushing yards with 2,177 and added 18 touchdowns. The bruising tailback was a consensus All-American selection, rushed for more than 200 yards in a game five times and was a finalist for the 2013 Heisman Trophy. He also won the 2013 Doak Walker Award, given to the nation's premier running back.

"I just had a feeling from that moment that this would be the team that would end up picking me up." -Andre Williams

All the above was accomplished on 355 carries, an awful lot of hits for any back to take on his body. Despite the mileage, Williams says the amount of touches actually benefited him.

"I think it was good for me to take that many carries and show that I could be durable, I could take a lot of carries," Williams said. "My body is built for it. I'm 230 pounds. It doesn't really faze me to take that many carries. It was a lot of fun doing it this year."

At that size, Williams is ideally suited to run between the tackles. NFL.com credited him with good vision and the ability to get downhill fast. Despite posting a 4.56-second 40-yard dash, Williams has displayed an extra gear in the open field and an ability to pull away from defenders.

While Williams didn't haul in a single reception last year, the Pennsylvania native still made his presence felt in the passing game as one of college football's finest pass-blocking backs. That attribute alone is enough for Williams to have confidence in contributing to the Giants right away.

"I'm just going to come in this offseason and compete and work as hard as I can and pushing everyone around me," Williams said. "If that translates to me getting on the field early, then I'm welcome to that idea."

Williams joins Gordon Bell (1976), Billy Taylor (1978), Cliff Chatman (1981), Lewis Tillman (1989), Sean Bennett (1999), Brandon Jacobs (2005) and Andre Brown (2009) as running backs the Giants have selected in the fourth round since 1975.
