The New York Giants open their season Monday night vs. the Detroit Lions. Here is your game time, information on how to watch or listen to the game, odds, injuries, online streaming and social media information to help you enjoy the game.

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants open their 2014 season Monday night against the Detroit Lions. The game is part of a Monday Night Football doubleheader on ESPN and will begin at the special early time of 7:10 p.m. ET. The second game will feature the San Diego Chargers at the Arizona Cardinals. That game kicks off at 10:20 p.m.

The Giants will be looking to make the playoffs for the first time in three seasons, and trying to get off to improve upon last season's 0-6 start. Odds makers don't like the Giants' chances of winning on the road, with the Giants listed as 6.5-point underdogs. Eli Manning will lead a revamped Giants offense, hoping to rebound from a season during which he threw a career-worst 27 interceptions.

Giants head coach Tom Coughlin has 170 career coaching victories. With one more he will surpass Paul Brown and tie Joe Gibbs on the all-time list. Lions coach Jim Caldwell is coaching his first regular-season game with Detroit. He was head coach of the Indianapolis Colts from 2009-2011.

The Giants have won their last five games in Detroit. The Giants are 22-3-1 on Monday Night Football. The Giants have 49 wins in road openers, second-most in NFL history. The Green Bay Packers have 53.
