As the 2020 NFL Draft approaches, mock drafts continue to show overwhelming support for the New York Giants selecting an offensive tackle with their first pick, No. 4 overall. Our mock draft tracker has swelled to 78 mocks this week, and 53 of those (67.9 percent) have the Giants selecting an offensive tackle.
The most popular pick this time around was Mekhi Becton of Louisville, who was chosen in 22 of the mocks we have listed below (28.2 percent). Tristan Wirfs of Iowa was chosen 21 times (26.9 percent). Jedrick Wills of Alabama was the choice in 10 mock drafts (12.8 percent).
Isaiah Simmons of Clemson still has plenty of support, with the do-it-all defender having been selected in 19 mock drafts (24.4 percent).
Edge rusher Chase Young of Ohio State was the choice in four mock drafts (5.1 percent).
The choice for the Giants is really clear in what seems to be the most likely draft scenario. Either choose Simmons to bolster the defense or take whichever offensive tackle they deem best to protect Daniel Jones and open holes for Saquon Barkley.
