The New York Giants have activated safety Will Hill, suspended for the past four games by the NFL for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy. To make room for Hill on the roster, the Giants have placed cornerback Michael Coe on injured reserve.
Hill, a rookie undrafted free agent, played in five games before being suspended. He has 11 tackles on the season.
Coe has battled hamstring issues on an off all season, and was again on the injury report this week due to the hamstring. The reserve cornerback finishes the season with 13 tackles.
Hill provides the Giants with some depth at safety, a valuable commodity with Kenny Phillips still sidelined due to a knee injury. Hill was also emerging as a quality performer on the Giants' kick coverage teams prior to his suspension for unauthorized use of the drug Adderall.
The Giants face the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
