The New York Giants held their eighth practice of training camp on Saturday. Weston Richburg and Ereck Flowers returned to action, but safety Bennett Jackson was held out of action with a quad injury. Let's summarize.
Eli intercepted twice
So much for that interception-less practice streak/ Eli Manning was intercepted twice on Saturday. Cornerback Trevin Wade got the first one, picking off a pass for Rueben Randle in the end zone. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie got the second. That came on a deep ball where there was an apparent miscommunication with veteran wide receiver James Jones. Whoops!

Weston Richburg, Ereck Flowers practice
The Giants got good news Saturday when center Weston Richburg and left tackle Ereck Flowers returned to practice. Reports are that both took only limited reps, but that is still a good sign. Richburg, incidentally, had told reporters he ha da cortisone injection in his left knee.
Prince Amukamara update
Amukamara, offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz (foot) and linebacker Jameel McClain (stinger) did not pratice. Coughlin told reporters at Quest Diagnostic Training Cente rthat Amukamara was "unlikely" to make the trip to Cincinnati.
Round three
The third fight of training camp took place on Saturday, and it was the second involving offensive lineman Michael Bamiro. Bamiro and defensive end Robert Ayers threw down during this padded practice. Every fight has involved offensive line vs. defensive line.
What's next?
The Giants are off on Sunday, then hold a closed practice on Monday before heading to Cincinnati.
