EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Rookie left tackle Ereck Flowers will miss his second consecutive practice for the New York Giants on Wednesday afternoon. Flowers, day-to-day with a left hip flexor, said he "should be fine" for next week's practice with the Cincinnati Bengals.

"I usually heal pretty fast and do pretty well so I'll definitely be out there really soon," Flowers said.

Beason looking forward to full pads

Middle linebacker Jon Beason said Wednesday morning that he is excited for the Giants' first fully-padded practice.

"It's a blessing for 9-on-7 [run drills] today," Beason said. "I just want to get out there and get my nose bloddy a little bit."

Mike Sullivan: Eli's arm stronger than ever

Quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan was with Eli Manning for several years during the Kevin Gilbride era. After a couple of years away, Sullivan is back with the Giants. So, does he see anything different with Manning?

"I think his arm is very live. I don't think his arm has ever been stronger," Sullivan said. "He looks like he's got a lot of zip on the football."

Damontre Moore on fight with Justin Pugh

Defensive end Damontre Moore was asked Wednesday about his Monday afternoon fight with Justin Pugh.

"We should never fight with another teammate," Moore said, adding a caveat. "We're not going to apologize for the aggression."

-- Much more on these stories, and from practice, later on.
