New York Giants live practice updates, 8/26: Another closed session

What will happen today?

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

The Osi Umenyiora retirement celebration hullabaloo is over. The New York Giants have work to do -- lots of it -- to get ready for the 2015 season, and this afternoon they get back to that task with the second-to-last training camp practice at Quest Diagnostics Training Center.

Today's session, which is closed to the public thanks to an AC/DC concert Wednesday night at MetLife Stadium, begins at 2:30 p.m. ET.

What can we watch for today?

  • We already know that center Weston Richburg and wide receiver Victor Cruz will not practice. Rueben Randle and Landon Collins are expected to. Let's see how well Randle and Collins are moving around, and how much they do.
  • As usual, the rotation on the right side of the offensive line will be noteworthy.

Thursday will mark the final practice of what is technically training camp. It really matters little for how the Giants have things structured in East Rutherford since no more practices are open to the public. It is, however, a reminder that the regular season is closing in.
