New York Giants practice news: Odell Beckham, Justin Pugh sit out due to dental work

What happened at Wednesday's practice?

There was a temporary panic in the New York Giants universe today when it was discovered that superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was not practicing. Turns out, though, his off day had nothing to do with his hamstrings. Rather, it had to do with his pearly whites.

That means no Beckham, Victor Cruz or Rueben Randle practicing on Wednesday for the Giants.

It must have been dental day in East Rutherford. Left guard Justin Pugh also sat out practice due to dental work. Unbelievable!

Here is more from the workout at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center.

There was some good news on the injury front.

The offensive line shuffling continued.

Watch the video below closely. Forget the touchdown to James Jones. Watch left tackle Ereck Flowers completely stonewall Damontre Moore (98). That is the best part of this play.

Quotable

"Man, I've never felt somebody that strong. I'm not gonna lie. I've met some strong guys, but I've never been hemmed up like that. He's one of those guys where I legitimately tried to use both of my hands to get off of him (and couldn't)."

Finally, journeyman corner Trevin Wade just keeps making plays. This time he jumps a route to for a pick 6 on Ryan Nassib.
