New York Giants training camp live updates: First joint practice with Cincinnati Bengals

Keep up with today's Giants-Bengals practice right here.

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants hold their first joint practice with the Cincinnati Bengals Tuesday afternoon at Paul Brown Stadium. Seems like the question on the mind of many Giants' fans is simply this -- are these practices a good idea?

The last time the Giants tried this, against the New York Jets back in 2005, Jeremy Shockey turned them into a disaster. The series of ugly fights during a recent joint practice between the Washington Redskins and Houston Texans heightened the concern. Paul Schwartz of the New York Post believes the joint practices are a mistake. What do you think? Vote in the poll and let us know if you think these are a good or bad idea.

As for trying to follow what happens at practice, which is scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m. ET, use the Twitter stream below. Yours truly is not in Cincinnati, but some of the beat reporters are. We will be relying on their updates. Also, Giants.com will be posting practice highlights at the end of each session.
