Saturday afternoon the New York Giants reportedly waived tight end Matt LaCosse with an injury designation.
This marks the second undrafted free agent rookie the Giants have waived as injured in as many days -- receiver Ben Edwards was the first, released on Friday.
TE Matt LaCossee has been waived/injured. Should end up on IR where he'll get another chance next year.

LaCosse reportedly injured his hamstring at some point. Much like Ben Edwards, LaCosse is expected to land on the Giants' injured reserve. While this would mean that he is unavailable for the 2015 season, much like Victor Cruz in 2010, both players would be protected from being picked up by other teams.
The Giants have to hope that LaCosse makes it through the waiver wire unclaimed. He was a sought-after undrafted free agent with high upside who impressed the coaches during the offseason. LaCosse is a player that the Giants -- as well as fans and writers -- were excited to see in camp and preseason, now it looks like they'll have to wait a while.
Thanks to the NY Giants and their fans. Yall have made this a great experience. Unfortunately, injuries do happen but I hope to be back
