Yesterday the New York Giants made the trip to Nashville, Tennessee. Three Giants, Mark Herzlich, Jacquian Williams, and James Brewer, didn't make that trip. All three have already been ruled out of the game against the Titans with concussions.
Jacquian Williams will miss his third straight game with a concussion sustained at the start of the second quarter against Seattle -- he finished the game concussed. At this point, it is fair to have concerns about Williams' health.
Herzlich and Brewer both sustained concussions against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Herzlich has been playing well at outside linebacker. The loss of both Williams and Herzlich will be a hit to an already shaky Giants defense. The injury to James Brewer opens the door for pre-season starter Brandon Mosley to be active.
These are in addition to the five players put on the injured reserve Tuesday: Robert Ayers, Geoff Schwartz, Mathias Kiwanuka, Adam Snyder, and Terrell Manning.
In addition to the three Giants ruled out before the team left for Tennessee, guard Eric Herman, cornerback Jayron Hosley, and new running back Chris Ogbonnaya are inactive.
Notably active is running back Rashad Jennings. He injured his ankle against the Jaguars, and is still bothered by it despite staying off it all week. However, he was ruled active after testing the ankle in warm-ups. He is expected to be eased in to the game plan.
