Trio unlikely to play vs. Steelers

The New York Giants’ injury report for Thursday looked pretty much like it did on Wednesday. Safety Nat Berhe (concussion, linebacker Mark Herzlich (concussion) and defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa (knee) did not practice, leaving them unlikely to play Sunday vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Giants’ trio of injured offensive linemen — Justin Pugh, Brett Jones, Marshall Newhouse — were once again limited in practice. Who starts at left guard, where Pugh’s injury several weeks ago began a merry-go-round, is still to be determined.

With the three players mentioned above sidelined last week vs. the Cleveland Browns, Adam Gettis got his first career start. Perhaps he gets a second one this Sunday.

Friday’s report will tell us officially who will be in or out.
