EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Things did not go well in the early games on Sunday for the New York Giants. All of the teams chasing them in the hunt for NFC wild-card spots — the Washington Redskins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings — were victorious during the day.
That amps up the pressure on the 8-4 Giants as they host the 11-1 Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium, where snow was falling in the hours leading up to the 8:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
The Giants, of course, handed Dallas its only loss of the season in Week 1, 20-19.
If the Giants are going to repeat that success, they will have to do so without Jason Pierre-Paul and Justin Pugh. The Giants will, however, have running back Shane Vereen for the first time since he suffered a torn triceps in Week 3.
