The New York Giants made 10 selections in the 2020 NFL Draft, half of which came in the last two rounds. The Giants selected three linebackers and one defensive back in the seventh round. The lone defensive back selected in the seventh round is Chris Williamson out of Minnesota. Interestingly, Williamson was listed as a “cornerback” when the Giants selected him, but he is role is more correctly described as a “nickel defender”. Williamson primarily lined up closer to the line of scrimmage as a slot defender, box safety, or a hybrid linebacker.
