The Chris and Joe Show’s preliminary tour around the New York Giants roster for the 2020 off-season has come to its end.
The safety position has been a position of both strength and concern for the Giants over the years. The Giants have had some good players at safety, like Kenny Philips, Antrell Rolle, Will Hill, and Stevie Brown. However, they have struggled to have any consistency their as well. Rolle played the longest, but was forced to play every position from cornerback to linebacker as the defense dealt with injuries. Philips and Brown had their careers cut short by injury while Hill’s off-field issues kept him off the field.
Over the last two years the Giants have tried Curtis Riley and Landon Collins at the safety position in 2018 and Antoine Bethea and Jabrill Peppers after parting ways with both Riley and Collins after the 2018 season.
So where do the Giants stand at safety heading into 2020, and what do their options look like?
