On the latest Big Blue Big Board podcast, Dan Pizzuta and Chris Pflum dig into potential outcomes for the New York Giants with two first round picks. They go through a few different “plans” the Giants could have to see what the results on each round would be. Plans include a rebuild, win-now, and a worse case scenario.
The results were as follows:
Rebuilding plan:
6. Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State
17. Greedy Williams, CB, LSU
Win-now plan:
6. Montez Sweat, EDGE, Mississippi State
17. Cody Ford, OT, Oklahoma
Plan ¯\_(ツ)_/¯:
6. Rashan Gary, DL, Michigan
17. Daniel Jones, QB, Duke
Chris and Dan also each ran through a quick “ideal” first round at this point in the offseason.
Chris:
6. Montez Sweat
17. Garrett Bradbury, iOL, NC State
Chris’ Plan also included a trade of the 37th overall pick to the Arizona Cardinals for Josh Rosen.
Dan:
The most ideal was a package of 6 and 17 to trade up and select Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma. But if that wasn’t available:
6. Brian Burns, EDGE, Florida State
17. Hakeem Butler, WR, Iowa State
