Poll: Giants Reacts Week 18 - Is it better to win or lose against the Eagles?

To win, or not to win, that is the question.

There’s just one game left of the 2023 season for the New York Giants, their Week 18 season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles.

It’s been a long, strange, and often nightmarish season for the Giants. They’ve played on Christmas and New Years Day, had four of their first six games in prime time, and have played ten games in either prime time or in the 4:25 p.m. (ET) time slot. And while the Giants came into the season with playoff hopes, they’ve stumbled to a 5-11 record as we enter the final week of the year.

A few weeks ago, this game looked like a no-brainer loss for the Giants. The Eagles were carrying a 10-1 record and looked to be on their way to another NFC Championship game. Then their season went into a skid and they suddenly looked very beatable — which the Giants almost accomplished two weeks ago.

Now, the Giants currently hold the fifth overall pick and are locked into a top 10 selection. A win for the Giants could knock them down to eighth overall, behind the Bears, Commanders, Patriots, Cardinals, Chargers, Titans and Jets. Loss for the Giants would preserve their draft position, and wins by Washington, New England, or Arizona could boost the Giants’ draft position all the way up to second overall.

The Eagles, meanwhile, are no longer in control of their own destiny and need help from the Washington Commanders to secure home field advantage. A loss would mean that they’re going on the road and would play the winner of the NFC South (likely the Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

So the question facing us is simple: What do you want to see happen?

Do you want to see the Giants play spoiler and deny the Eagles any chance of home field advantage at the cost of their own draft position?

Or would you rather the Giants just get the season over with, lose, and preserve (or possibly improve) their draft position?
