Let’s look back a the last 8 years of our beloved and storied and 4-time Super Bowl Champions!

I’m going to reflect upon the Giants last 8 drafts. I’m going to try to think like they thought.

DISCLAIMER: I am a 100% Draft Geek. For the last 28 years my favorite after work activity was analyzing the draft prospects and analyzing mock drafts. I’m in no way a professional. I teach elementary school.

BUT! The way Jerry Reese and Dave Gettleman conducted our drafts, all of us probably could have done a better job. Seriously. There were a lot of politics going on from 2014-2021. That’s why we are where we are.

I’m going to analyze the first 3 rounds of the last eight drafts. 2015 to 2023. I’m going to look at who OUR Giants could have had at that SAME drafted position. Was it poor scouting (maybe)? Was it that the GM just sucked? (Probably)

1-2 Saquon I think good pick, but it is debatable

2-34 Will Hernandez I don’t remember seeing him on Mock websites? But he did make All Rookie. Suffered from HORRIBLE Coaching. Now doing sufficient In Arizona. OR Conor Williams 2-70 or Brian O’Neill Pro Bowl 2021

3-66 Lorenzo Carter 14.5 sacks 1 int or 3-70 Fred Warner 2 Pro Bowls

1-6 Daniel Jones HORRIBLE QB Class or Chris Lindstrom Guard 1-14 OR Brian Burns Lb 38 sacks in 4 years and perhaps we could have had FitzMAGIC or Tyrol or another veteran?

1-17 Dexter EXCELLENT PICK

1-30 DEanDRE Baker Not happy at the time with trade Deandre did start 15 games. Not sure what his PFF was. Legal issues. I do think the Giants dropped him too early because of the dropped legal issues. We did have a player back in the day wit legal issues. 2 Super Bowls later. Still Sean Murphy-Bunting orTrayvon Mullen would have been better picks.

Everyone can be a Monday Morning Quarterback. Would’ve Should’ve Could’ve

But the Giants could’ve and should’ve done better.

Shame on the Mara Family to be so nice to incompetents like Jerry Reese and Dave Gettleman.

The Mara’s loyalty has cost the Giant Football Team a lot.

Let’s hope that Schoen and Daboll can get us back on top!

Summary: The Giants need to draft Football Players not Athletes. We need Big Uglies who like to fight and want to fight. Not bodybuilders. Not pretty boys. Fighters.
