Day 2 of practices for the 2023 Reese’s Senior Bowl were underway in Mobile, Ala. on Wednesday. With nine selections in the upcoming draft, New York Giants GM Joe Schoen was again on hand to scout potential targets:

Decent sized contingent of #Giants scouts watching the American team receiver drills at @seniorbowl. NYG is definitely targeting receiver as a position to upgrade via the draft. #TogetherBlue pic.twitter.com/BEY5BAVkBT

In addition, Schoen took time to speak with reporters, where he provided updates on the negotiations with both quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley:
Giants GM Joe Schoen told reporters at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., that has had contract talks with the reps for RB Saquon Barkley and expects to have more next week.

He also said he hasn't started talks with the reps for QB Daniel Jones yet.
Wide receivers
It’s no secret that the wide receiver position will be one that Schoen and his crew will focus on come draft day. In Mobile, there were a plethora of pass-catchers who left a big impression. Michael Wilson shined on Day 2, continuing to bolster his draft stock and cement his status as the week’s breakout player so far:

6’1”, 216lb WRs aren’t supposed to move with the suddenness that Michael Wilson (bottom) can move with.

He needs to refine how he handles contact, but there’s a lot to like in his game. Scouts at the #SeniorBowl have to be wondering what their WR Coaches could do with him. pic.twitter.com/61wc83LN3H
#Stanford WR Michael Wilson has fluidity and can track the ball well. Does a nice job adjusting and catching this one on one rep over his shoulder.

Michigan State’s Jayden Reed also continued to impress scouts with plays like these:

Offensive linemen
Olusegun Oluwatimi put together a strong showing. A likely Day 3 pick after a tremendous senior campaign at Michigan, Oluwatimi has excelled in Mobile, and could very well be a target for a Giants squad looking for a center to anchor their offensive line for years to come:

John Michael Schmitz continued his tremendous performance as well. The former Minnesota Golden Gopher appears to be a probable first-round pick and will likely serve as a starter for the Senior Bowl once practices conclude:

More highlights
Kyu Blue Kelly caught the eyes of several scouts on Wednesday. A projected Day 2 selection, the cornerback out of Stanford has looked poised in coverage and could be a target for a Giants squad looking to bolster its secondary this offseason:
