Giants holding out hope Dexter Lawrence will play vs. Packers

Green Bay will be without wide receiver Christian Watson

After Dexter Lawrence practiced on a limited basis Saturday for the second consecutive day, the New York Giants are hopeful that the star defensive tackle will be able to play Monday night against the Green Bay Packers.

Lawrence missed the Giants’ Week 12 game against the New England Patriots with a hamstring injury.

“I’m hopeful,” said head coach Brian Daboll. “Hopefully he’ll be ready to go in a couple days here. That would be the plan.”

Starting right tackle Evan Neal (hamstring) has been ruled out. He will miss his fourth straight game and sixth in the last seven.

Defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson (hamstring), linebacker Isaiah Simmons (ankle), tight end Daniel Bellinger (illness) and wide receiver/kickoff returner Parris Campbell (knee) are listed as questionable.

Campbell was a new addition to the injury report on Saturday. He did not practice. Bellinger also did not practice for a secon straight day.

The Packers will be without wide receiver Christian Watson, who has a hamstring injury.
