Giants-Packers odds: Green Bay win streak reflected in the spread

Giants remain underdogs after two straight victories

The New York Giants already have two straight wins, and they were likely expecting the easiest stretch of their schedule to continue this Monday night at home against the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers, though, have begun to turn their season around. Oddsmakers are predicting that a Giants victory will be more unlikely than previously imagined.

Green Bay is currently a 6-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook with -258 moneyline odds. The over/under is set at 38 points.

The Packers have won four of their last five games, punctuated by a 27-19 upset of the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. They are 6-6 overall and 7-5 against the spread.

This is only the second time this year the Packers have been the betting favorites in the game. All of their victories were upsets, except when they covered a 4-point spread as favorites against the Los Angeles Rams.

Quarterback Jordan Love is beginning to look more like a quality starter. He has thrown at least two touchdown passes in four straight games, and has not thrown an interception in his last three games. That’s a huge turnaround from when Love threw seven interceptions during a four-game losing streak earlier in the season.

The Giants are in the midst of their first win streak in over a year, with wins over the Washington Commanders and New England Patriots. The Commanders victory was decisive, but the Patriots game only ended when New England missed a 35-yard field goal. The Giants were underdogs in both games.

The over/under is a bit difficult to manage given the difference between the Packers and Giants’ offense. The last four Packers games have all gone above the 38-point total, but Giants games have only reached that mark in two of their last seven matchups.
