The NFL has a two-game slate for Saturday - the eve of Christmas Eve football. Let’s look at the two games.

Bengals at Steelers

An AFC North battle between the 8-6 Cincinnati Bengals and the 7-7 Pittsburgh Steelers, who are both likely starting backup quarterbacks kick off the festivities. Bengals’ quarterback Jake Browning has been more than admirable in lieu of the injured Joe Burrow.

Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett was limited in practice with his ankle injury. If he can’t play, the Steelers are turning to Mason Rudolph over Mitchell Trubisky. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick did not practice on Wednesday, as well as third safety Trenton Thompson. This could be consequential since safety Demontae Kazee was suspended for the season because of his hit on Michael Pittman Jr. last week.

The Bengals will be without star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase due to a shoulder injury suffered last week. Chase was the only Bengals player who did not practice; they had zero limited participation in practice on Wednesday.

Bills at Chargers

The Bills are 2-0 since their bye week and are 8-6 coming off a 31-10 dismantling versus the Dallas Cowboys. Buffalo seems to be getting hot at the right time after a turbulent season. The Chargers on the other hand are arguably the worst team in the NFL.

Los Angeles was destroyed against the Raiders on Thursday Night Football last week. The Chargers lost 63-21, which prompted them to fire head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco - they cleaned house. Giff Smith was named the interim head coach.

This could be a rough time for the Chargers. Here’s a look at the game’s injury situation.
