Giants vs. Saints: How to watch, TV schedule, start time, broadcast info and more

Can New York make it four in a row?

NFL: Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants, improbably, are entering their Sunday matchup with the New Orleans Saints on a three-game win streak.

Quarterback Tommy Devito will make his fifth start of the season. He’s already tied the NFL record for wins by an undrafted rookie quarterback (3), and this Sunday is likely his best chance remaining to break the record. He has a passer rating of 100 or more in each of his last three games, also a record for undrafted rookies.

The Saints are not on a hot streak like the Giants, but they have a much clearer path to the playoffs. They’ll have a 40% chance of making the postseason if they beat the Giants, but just an 18% chance if they lose, per the New York Times.

New Orleans has lost three of its past four games, but the Saints been slightly more impressive than that record suggests. They’re coming off a 28-6 beatdown of the Carolina Panthers. One week earlier, they nearly overcame a 21-0 deficit in a 33-28 loss to the Detroit Lions.

Still, quarterback Derek Carr’s lingering injuries and overall poor play have hampered New Orleans. In the last five weeks, Carr had two games without any touchdown passes and threw for more than 250 yards just once. He’s thrown one interception in each of his last three starts, which lines up with the Giants defense’s impressive season average.
