New York Giants wide receiver Jalin Hyatt has been voted the Pepsi Offensive Rookie of The Week for Week 12.

Hyatt received Rookie of The Week honors thanks to his five-catch (on six targets), 109-yard effort in the Giants’ 10-7 win over the New England Patriots this past Sunday. To put that in a bit of perspective, his five catches accounted for 67 percent of the Giants’ receiving yardage.

Giants fans have been waiting for the rookie receiver to make his presence felt, and he did just that against New England, with catches of 29, 22, 12, and 41 yards.

He also became the Giants’ first 100-yard receiver in over a year, as Wan’Dale Robinson had a 100-yard game against the Lions on November 20th of last year. Giants fans are certainly glad to see an explosive element added back into the passing game.

Hyatt hasn’t been a major figure in the Giants’ offense this year, having seen five targets on just two other occasions (against the Washington Commanders and Las Vegas Raiders). However, his performance against the Patriots — and growing rapport with quarterback Tommy DeVito — could lead to an increased role in the final five games of the year.
