Bears at Vikings: How to watch, TV schedule, start time, more

Vikings try to continue their NFC North comeback

NFL: Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions David Reginek-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears have already lost to every other team in the NFC North once this season. On Monday night, they’ll try and right the ship in a rematch with the Minnesota Vikings.

If the Vikings can win Monday night, they’ll be just 1.5 games behind the Lions for first place in the division, who were upset by the Green Bay Packers on Thursday. Minnesota and Detroit play each other in Weeks 16 and 18, and those contests will likely determine the NFC North winner.

The Vikings began the season 0-3 but put together a five-game win streak to get themselves back into the playoff picture. They’re coming off a 21-20 loss to the Denver Broncos, which was their first defeat since Week 5.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 8, but the Vikings’ offense has been managing so far without him. Replacement Josh Dobbs has four touchdown passes and one interception in three starts.

The Bears have almost been eliminated from the playoffs after starting the season 0-4. The rest of their season will likely be spent evaluating Justin Fields to determine whether the franchise needs to draft a new quarterback in 2024. Chicago holds the Carolina Panthers’ first-round draft pick, which could end up being No. 1 overall.

New York Giants fans will likely be rooting for a Bears victory, which would give the Giants a better chance at landing an early pick in the draft. Both teams are expected to be picking in the top 10.

The Vikings have won their last five matchups with the Bears, including a 19-13 victory in Week 6.
