The New York Giants beat the Washington Commanders 31-19, winning their third game of the season and sweeping a division rival.
The Giants rediscovered their 2022 form, winning a game they probably should have lost. Giants’ QB Tommy DeVito was sacked 9 times and the Giants didn’t have positive rushing yardage until the last play of the third quarter. However, the Giants’ defense swarmed over the Washington offense killing drives and (mostly) keeping the Commanders out of the endzone. Washington also gave the ball away 6 times, leading to 26 points.
DeVito also did his part with big plays down the field and capitalized on Washington’s (many) mistakes.
The Giants’ coaches out-schemed Washington’s staff, and Washington’s staff had few answers when they weren’t getting pressure.
Chris and Nick react in the immediate aftermath of the game.
