Giants stretch lead to 12.

Giants 21, Commanders 12: A 5-yard pass from Tommy DeVito to Saquon Barkley stretched the Giants’ lead to nine points with 13:32 left in the game. The Giants, keyed by a 36-yard Barkley run, went 68 yards in five plays after a Washington fumble, the Commanders’ fourth turnover of the game.

Commanders pull within two.

Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton ruled out.

Commanders cut lead to 14-10.

A Sam Howell 8-yard run cut the Giants lead to 14-10 with 1:30 left in the half. Howell, who took some big hits on the play, went to the injury tent afterwards.

Giants take 14-3 lead.

Giants 7, Washington 3: The Commanders go 70 yards in 9 plays for a 23-yard field goal. The Giants held with Washington having first-and-goal at the 4-yard line.

Giants cash in their second takeaway of the first quarter for an early 7-0 lead. Tommy DeVito to Saquon Barkley for the score.


The New York Giants, just 2-8 on the season and in the midst of a three-game losing streak, try to sweep the season series with the Washington Commanders on Sunday at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.

The Giants will be heavy underdogs per DraftKings Sportsbook, despite having beaten the Commanders 14-7 just four weeks ago. The Giants had veteran Tyrod Taylor at quarterback in that game. Sunday, undrafted free agent rookie Tommy DeVito makes his second career start.
