Kenny Golladay

Kenny Golladay had a very unimpressive initial season with the Giants. He never seemed truly healthy and the team, especially on offense, was in disarray. So it made sense to put last season in the rear view and give him a chance, like DJ and Saquan, to prove himself.

But he has actually been less impressive this preseason . It’s not problematic for a veteran player to operate at his own pace and he has also never been a dynamic player. That’s not the problem. But the clips of him in drills have been awful. There is a lack of concentration and work on acute skills. Look at his footwork in the end zone or sideline patterns. He’s uninterested in ensuring both feet are in bounds. This needs to be a critical part of his skill set especially as he lacks the ability to separate from CB’s or get deep. Guys like Toomer were brilliant at that skill and it is something that clearly requires a commitment that Golladay seems to be lacking.

Not interested in his comments tha he is his toughest critic. That is what underperforming people rely on instead of better effort. It actually sounded like a bad job interview.
