Radio play-by-play man Bob Papa and apparently several New York Giants players were inside the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn. during a Friday night shooting that left a 19-year-old dead.

The Giants, of course, are in Minnesota for Saturday’s 1 p.m. ET game against the Minnesota Vikings.

From the AP story:

The Giants were staying at a hotel adjacent to the mall. Pat Hanlon, the team’s executive vice president of communications, said he believes some players were in the mall at the time of the shooting.

“Everyone is back in the hotel and accounted for now,” Hanlon said Friday night.

The mall was reportedly on lockdown for approximately an hour. As of early Saturday morning, the shooter remained at large.

Papa tweeted that he also was in the mall when the incident occurred.

Fortunately for the Giants, everyone connected to the team is OK. Big Blue View’s condolences to the family of the victim.
