Isaiah Hodgins' comfort with Brian Daboll paying dividends | New York Post

“... it’s scary to imagine where a limited Giants passing offense might be without the first-year head coach’s inside knowledge of Hodgins’ potential. Since he was claimed off waivers from the Bills on Nov. 2 after the Giants did not make a move at the trade deadline, Hodgins has played 243 offensive snaps — second-most among their receivers.

“Isaiah has done a really nice job, not only in the red zone but being a factor on third down, and first and second down,” offensive coordinator Mike Kafka said. “He’s a really good blocker, a tough kid. He’s done everything we’ve asked of him.”

Lawrence Taylor's message to Giants 'D': 'Show me some nuts!” | New York Post

“Show me some nuts!”

Bill Parcells never had to worry or wonder about the mentality that his beloved LT would play with under similar circumstances: prime-time game, playoffs on the line, the whole country watching.

“You just said it,” [Lawrence] Taylor told The Post. “It’s a prime-time game, the playoffs are on the line. You just said everything you need to know about that game. Everything else is just preparation. Let’s do this, OK? Let’s do this. You already know what’s at stake, all right? If you can’t play when everything you ever dreamed of and everything that you want is put into one game, if you can’t rise to that challenge, then what’s left?

“These games define who you are.”

Will Evan Neal’s Giants rookie year be a success? It’s up to him to answer — starting now - nj.com

Neal, the Giants’ rookie right tackle, is well aware that only one thing will let him bury last week’s dreadful pass blocking performance against the Eagles.

“That’s what it boils down to — playing better,” Neal told NJ Advance Media. “That’s really all I can do. There’s no secret recipe or formula. I’ve just got to go out there and get those guys blocked.”
