Things are Getting Interesting on the Offensive Line…

The activations of Shane Lemieux, Nick Gates, and Matt Peart gives the Giants their best and deepest offensive line in many, many seasons. Evan Neal should be back in time for the thanksgiving matchup with the Cowboys.

Is this the starting offensive line for the rest of the season when everyone is healthy?

Starters

LT: Thomas

LG: Lemieux

OC: Feliciano

RG: Glowinski

RT: Neal

Backups

Swing Tackle: Peart

OC/OG: Gates

OG/OT: Ezeudu

OT: Phillips

OG/OT: Anderson

OG/OC: Bredeson

I must admit that this isn’t a bad group. I like the quality of depth better than the front line interior starters.

Intrigue Abounds

This group also raises some questions:

1. Is Gates ready to displace Feliciano as the starter at Center? Feliciano is a scrapper and a leader, but he’s grading as replacement level on PFF. Gates has way more upside.

2. Who is the starter at LG? Lemieux was the starter week 1. Ezeudu is a highly touted draft pick whose PFF grades are improving. Gates (whom most agree should be a starter if he’s 100% healthy) can also play Guard.

3. When the whole crew is healthy, who goes to the practice squad? Other than Anderson, any of the other backups would get poached by a needy team.

We could see some serious upticks with the offense down the stretch.
