The New York Giants lead the Chicago Bears 14-9 at half time of their Week 4 matchup.
While the Bears score first, sprinting down the field off of big throws and runs from Justin Fields, they had to settle for a pair of field goals to start the game. The Giants, meanwhile, took advantage of some bad eye discipline from the Bears’ defense to move the ball down the field on their second possession.
The Giants continued exploit the Bears’ defense throughout the first half. Their favorite play seemed to be a bootleg rollout, picking up easy yardage as the Bears lost track of the ball. Daniel Jones had a pair of rushing touchdowns over the course of the half.
The Giants suffered a number of injuries in the first half, losing CB Aaron Robinson to a knee injury, while Julian Love was ruled out with a concussion and Mark Glowinski suffered an ankle injury. DL Henry Mondeaux was carted off the field shortly before the 2:00 warning.
