First and foremost there’s been a few reports that Jerry Jones #1 target over the last several years has been Sean Payton. Obviously the situation in NO is turning to less than ideal with no QB to follow Brees. There’s been murmurings that Jerry will fire McCarthy immediately if Payton becomes available. The reason I write about this here is two fold.

1. Because playing against Sean Payton twice a year will suck. Thought we had it bad as the Jets? Try playing against Belichick twice a year.

2. More than anything, the Giants organization needs to do EVERYTHING they can to prevent that from happening. Bring Payton in, and find out what it’s going to take to get him here.
