The New York Giants could have tight end Evan Engram back in their lineup on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. After missing the first two games with a calf injury, Engram is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Engram, Nate Ebner (quad) and Kenny Golladay (hip) are questionable. Linebacker Cam Brown (hamstring) is the only Giant ruled out.

Logan Ryan, Saquon Barkley and Kadarius Toney are not listed on Friday’s report. That means all three are expected to play on Sunday.

Engram sounded optimistic on Friday.

“I had a great week, a really good recovery. Been doing really well with our trainers, they always do a good job,” he said. “This week has been really fun back out there with the guys, so it’s going to come down to the rest of today, tomorrow and then it’s up to (head coach) Joe (Judge). I feel good about it.”

THURSDAY

Kadarius Toney, the New York Giants first-round draft pick who has already missed considerable time with COVID-19 and then a hamstring injury, popped up on the team’s Thursday injury report. He was listed as a limited participant in practice with an ankle injury.

Toney has been a non-factor in two games, with a pair of catches for -2 yards. Toney played 19 snaps in Week 2 vs. the Washington Football Team and was never targeted.

Cam Brown (hamstring) did not practice. Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay, Logan Ryan and Evan Engram were all listed as limited participants.

WEDNESDAY

New York Giants tight end Evan Engram, who has missed the first two games of the season with a calf injury, continued to be a limited practice participant on Wednesday as the Giants worked to get ready for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Three Giants — Cam Brown (hamstring), Nate Ebner (quad) and Austin Johnson (illness) did not practice.

In addition to Engram, Saquon Barkley (knee), Kenny Golladay (hip), Logan Ryan (hamstring) and Kaden Smith (knee) were limited practice participants.

Head coach Joe Judge said before Wednesday’s practice that Engram had looked “decent” during Monday’s practice.

“He’s still progressing, moving in the right direction. We were hopeful early coming out of camp – obviously, we didn’t put him on IR – we were hopeful to get him to this point. We’re going to have to see these next couple of days how he can string it together,” Judge said. “Again, I talk all the time about (how) the point is to get guys on the field and keep them on the field, so we want to make sure (with) guys coming off of certain injuries that you don’t press them too early and risk getting those guys out there playing fast and then losing them.”

The Giants and Falcons are both 0-2 to start the season. This post will be updated throughout the week with injury information, so please remember to keep on coming back.
