The New York Giants season-opening 27-13 loss to the Denver Broncos felt entirely too familiar.
The Giants sunk resources into their wide receiving corps and pass rush over the course of the 2021 offseason, but things just felt the same as in 2020. The Giants’ offense struggled to gain traction, the offensive line was uneven (at best), and the Giants’ defense played hard until it ran out of steam.
All that plus our thoughts on Saquon Barkley and one bright spot from the game in our first rapid reaction of the 2021 regular season.
In this podcast
- How did Saquon Barkley look in his first action back?
- The Giants’ pass rush is still a problem for the defense
- Where were the Giants’ receivers not named “Sterling Shepard”?
