6 Giants training camp observations, Day 6: Daniel Jones is stellar in WILD practice with brawl, Kenny Golladay injury, Kadarius Toney returns, more - NJ.com
Jones and the offense outperformed the defense yesterday for the first time in training camp so far.
Kadarius Toney, finally, debuts: The Giants first-round pick finally made his on-field debut for the team, even if he was limited. It didn’t get off to an amazing start, as Toney dropped an easy catch in his first target of camp, off a throw from Daniel Jones during the team’s “warm-up” 11-on-11 at the beginning of practice. He participated in all of the position drills and flashed some of the speed/agility that made the Giants want to draft him, but it’s too early to make any sort of evaluation until he’s a full-go.
He was one of the primary punt returners throughout practice, though, along with Jabrill Peppers, Adoree’ Jackson and Sterling Shepard. Darius Slayton and Dante Pettis also fielded some punts.
Legendary Giants GM George Young earns Hall of Fame nod - The Athletic
Young will finally be inducted into the Hall of Fame this Saturday, a year and a half after he was nominated. In 18 years as Giants GM, Young drafted Phil Simms and Lawrence Taylor, hired Bill Parcells, and led the franchise to two Super Bowl wins.
