Good morning, New York Giants fans!

NY Giants’ Joe Judge has simple playbook to help Daniel Jones make leap

“Whatever people on the outside say, and manufacture, we control the pressure by controlling our expectations.” Judge told FanSided during a long-ranging phone conversation. “And what we do on a daily basis and the process of doing it.”

NY Giants training camp: storylines to watch, including Daniel Jones

The Giants have reported for training camp and first practice is Wednesday. Here are some big storylines to watch in the coming weeks and preseason.

Inside why NY Giants’ brass in no hurry to rush Saquon Barkley back

“We want to make sure we aren’t putting any player out there before they’re fully ready to go,” Judge explained. “That they can go out there to play fast, confident, and aggressive, and most importantly, protect themselves against opponents.

“In a perfect world, we’d have every player on our team out there right now. The reality is, everybody’s on different timetables, and we’re going to afford them whatever timetables we need to get their body ready.”

Here’s how Giants’ Joe Judge is approaching COVID-19 vaccine with his players — and what he’s saying to those choosing to go unvaccinated

“I chose to never take a side,” Judge told NJ Advance Media in a one-on-one interview. “And everybody has different opinions and beliefs and whatever they want to say. But my thing has been the entire time: I’m not going to take a side. The league and union have an agreement in terms of what the players’ choices are and it’s my job as a coach to inform everyone of all the information. When the players make their choice to enforce protocols if they choose not to be vaccinated, and that’s kinda just been it.

“We’re very honest with our players, and talk to them all the time. We just make sure they understand the reality is that it’s going to be tougher living if you’re not vaccinated.”

Giants' Adoree’ Jackson driven by fear of letting down others

Q: What drives you?

A: What drives me is fear. Like the fear of letting my parents down, the fear of letting my city down. And the other one was like understanding with the talent that I have it can be taken away at any moment. My mom was always telling me: “The Lord gave it to you. He can take it away.” So those were the two things that drove me, understanding that I need to maximize all the talents and abilities that the Lord gave me, ’cause if I’m not, then I’m wasting ’em.

Why New York Giants Head Coach Joe Judge is Confident the O-line Will Be Better - Sports Illustrated New York Giants News, Analysis and More

Here is how veteran offensive line coach Pat Flaherty joined the Giants’ coaching staff:

"As we went through the process of talking to offensive line coaches, it was the first extended exposure I have to Flats, who just came by and decided to talk ball one day," Judge revealed.

"Basically a two-hour window turned into about an eight-hour conversation and, I remember just saying to (assistant head coach and defensive coordinator) Pat Graham, 'Wow, this guy could really help us.'"
