There may still be a few additions and subsequent subtractions, but the bulk of what general manager Dave Gettleman refers to as the “roster building season” is done. Seeking their first winning season since 2017, and first in Gettleman’s four seasons as GM, the Giants were undeniably aggressive in free agency and the 2021 NFL Draft.
“You know, we’ve had that mindset. And you know we just felt like, it’s all about calculated risk. You know, you go to Vegas, go to Atlantic City and some people are aggressive and some people aren’t,” Gettleman said. “It’s just sometimes it’s instinct. Sometimes it’s just looking at the board and seeing where it’s going to take you. You know, we felt we were aggressive in the off-season and in the roster building season — there’s no off-season here. We were aggressive in the roster building season in both free agency and the Draft.”
The 90-man roster the Giants will bring to training camp this summer is just about set. Below, our player-by-player look at the expectations for each of the men who will report to training camp when the season begins.
