Alabama wide receiver Jaylen Waddle widened his lead this week as the player most often selected at No. 11 for the New York Giants in mock drafts. This week, the electrifying Waddle was the choice in 21 of 72 mock drafts (29.2 percent).
A week ago, Waddle was the choice in 26.2 percent of the mock drafts we tracked.
Mark Schofield took to the film on Friday to show us why Waddle in drawing so much love in the scouting community. Here is part of what Schofield said:
“A number of things stand out watching Waddle on film. His burst as an athlete, the pace to his routes, and his ability to sell defenders on breaks and erase leverage advantages. Waddle is the rare type of receiver who can attack a defender’s leverage in a number of ways, and the playbook coaching points can be just mere recommendations to him.”
Waddle’s Alabama teammate, wide receiver DeVonta Smith, was the choice in 12 mock drafts (16.7 percent).
Miami edge defender Gregory Rousseau was chosen for the Giants in 11 mock drafts (15.3 percent).
