In the wake of the cancellation of the NFL Scouting Combine, the focus has turned to college “pro days” for scouting for the 2021 NFL Draft. Here is a breakdown of Tuesday’s Pro Days.
South Carolina
Following Caleb Farley’s surgery news, the door was wide open for Gamecocks corner Jaycee Horn to put himself squarely into the CB1 debate with Patrick Surtain II. The son of Saints legend and Pro Bowl WR Joe Horn did not disappoint at his pro day.

An aggressive press corner with superior athleticism, Horn turned a lot of heads with his performance and will be in serious consideration for a high first round pick. Like Surtain yesterday, the Giants likely won’t be considering Horn with the 11th overall pick following the signing of Adoree’ Jackson. But he certainly has the talent to warrant at least the thought.
Southern California
Speaking of Adoree’ Jackson, his alma matter USC held their pro day as well. For Giants fans looking for an answer at right guard, Alijah Vera-Tucker could be the man for you.

An option in the mid-late first round (with some even saying he could be a candidate for the Giants’ 11th pick), Tucker would make for a solid guard in the NFL with prototypical size and athleticism.
Another top prospect is WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. Younger brother of current Packers wideout Equanimeous St. Brown, Amon-Ra has been making a name or himself with the Trojans and helped his draft stock with a solid performance at the pro day.

A likely Day 2 pick, St. Brown would probably go higher were it not for the sheer talent at wide receiver in this class. However, he will likely be a solid investment for whatever team (maybe the Giants) who draft him.
Mississippi State
Lastly, we head down to Mississippi State, where running back Kylin Hill was on full display.

Hailing from Joe Judge’s alma matter, Hill could present an intriguing mid-late round option for the Giants’ RB room that currently has only Saquon Barkley and Devontae Booker on the roster.
Looking Ahead
Thursday marks another big day for 2021 NFL Draft scouting, as Penn State will be hosting its pro day. Headlined by players like Micah Parsons, Jayson Oweh, Pat Freiermuth and Shaka Toney, Happy Valley is the place to be on Thursday for NFL scouts.
