The New York Giants continued checking off boxes on their offseason to do list with Monday’s reported signing of free agent cornerback Adoree’ Jackson.
Per Adam Schefter, the Giants are giving Jackson an astonishing three-year, $39 million deal. The deal will include more than $20 million in guaranteed money.
After a visit that began with a Sunday night dinner with Giants cornerback Logan Ryan, a former teammate with the Tennessee Titans, Jackson met with Giants brass Monday morning and agreed to terms. He had scheduled a Monday night visit with the Philadelphia Eagles, but that will no longer happen≥
A 2017 first-round draft choice by the Titans, Jackson has always been a starter. He started 41 of 46 regular-season games. In 2020, though, he suffered a knee injury in the preseason and did not play until Week 15. He appeared in only three games.
The Giants had four players start games at cornerback opposite James Bradberry in 2020 — Corey Ballentine, Isaac Yiadom, Julian Love, Ryan Lewis. They were expected to see a full-time solution at that spot this offseason, and now they have.

The money is honestly far more than I anticipated Jackson receiving. The Giants, though, now have their second cornerback.
The Giants secondary now has Bradberry and Jackson at the outside cornerback spots, Darnay Holmes in the slot with Jabrill Peppers, Logan Ryan and Xavier McKinney. The bench includes Julian Love, Isaac Yiadom, Sam Beal and Ryan Lewis.
Ryan, a teammate of Jackson’s in Tennessee, is happy about the news.

For a team that appeared to be short on salary cap space the Giants have accomplished quite a bit in free agency. The players signed are:
- CB Adoree Jackson
- WR Kenny Golladay
- TE Kyle Rudolph
- DE Ifeadi Odenigbo
- FB Cullen Gillaspia
- WR John Ross
- LB Reggie Ragland
- RB Devontae Booker
The Giants also got Leonard Williams to sign a long-term deal and re-signed defensive tackle Austin Johnson.
