The wait finally ended on Saturday afternoon as reports began to circulate that the New York Giants signed former Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay. Players, media and fans were quick to share their reaction on Twitter.
Golladay adds some much-needed depth to the Giants’ receiving corps. The Pro Bowler has recorded 183 receptions for 3,068 yards and 21 touchdowns in his 39 career starts with the Lions over the last four seasons.
Here is how social media reacted to the signing:
Giants sign Golladay
I'm told WR Kenny Golladay has agreed to go to the #Giants, per source. "Done" they said.— IG: JosinaAnderson (@JosinaAnderson) March 20, 2021
I assumed the #Bears visit for WR Kenny Golladay was to push Allen Robinson. It wasn’t. It was real and Chicago went all in, willing to push money into future years to find space. But Golladay clicked with NYG coaches and never left town until a deal was done. https://t.co/UNfI1BbsX7— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 20, 2021
Kenny Golladay to the New York freaking Giants!!! Daniel Jones is a touch thrower who likes to go deep and Golladay is the Perfect fit with his 17 YPC. This helps Slayton by giving him CB2 coverage and less safety help + Shep in the slot.— Bobby Skinner (@BobbySkinner_) March 20, 2021
