OMG do I need a Mock intervention!

So, I already had "a problem" with how much time I spend Mocking. But Fanspeak has just added a new feature that lets you trade veteran players from the current roster, not just draft picks! I may never leave my house until April!!

Here was my first try:

Cut Players: Kevin Zeitler(then I re-signed him) -Levine Toilolo -Will Hernandez -David Mayo -Sam Beal -R.J. McIntosh -Devante Downs -C.J. Board -Corey Ballentine -Da'Mari Scott -T.J. Brunson -Jaquarius Landrews

Felt bad about losing Will, but hey, I needed to free up cap space for some important moves.

Signed Players (w/2021 cap hits): Colt McCoy($1.6M) -Leonard Williams($7.5M) -Austin Johnson($1.4M) -Dalvin Tomlinson($6M) -Kevin Zeitler($5.625M, re-signed for 3 yrs @7.5M per)-Alfred Morris($1.75M) & -Matt Feiler($8.75M)

FYI, I signed L-Will at $14M for 5 yrs w/4 gtd. Feiler & Dalvin each got $12.5M for 5 yrs w/4 & 3 yrs gtd, respectively. Colt got $2m for 2 yrs w/1 gtd, Morris & Johnson each got $1.75M for 2 yrs fully gtd. I wound up with $13M in cap space, even after setting aside $5M for the draft, so, some contingency money is left for mid-season injuries, etc. (Turns out I could've kept Will, but I didn't know how it would work out at the time I had to make that decision. My guess is that we could even re-sign him later if this scenario played out like this. Not seeing him getting too many great offers. TBH.)

Then, I traded Engram, Tate & a 6th Rd pick to Jax for their two 2nd Rd picks (I was surprised they accepted that offer, TBH. I would've given our 4th instead if they'd insisted). Then I traded Jax's #33 to Cincy for their 2nd (#38) & 3rd (#69). So I wound up with:

#11 Kyle Pitts/TE/Fla (I traded Engram, so, yeah, hadda have him)

#38 Kadarius Toney/WR/Fla (I traded Tate, so, yeah, him too)

#42 Najee Harris/RB/Alabama (We only have two RBs under contract, plus, he's a beast that will pair up great w/Saquon)

#45 Carlos Basham/DE/Wake Forest (We can bring him along slowly since we kept L-Will & Dalvin, but our pass rush is gonna be much better)

#69 Jabrill Cox/ILB/LSU (Tae Crowder is a nice story 'n' all, but we need some more depth here. Plus, I cut Downs & Mayo)

#76 Quinn Meinerz/IOL/UW-Whitewater (This is later than I wanted to wait for O-line help, but I did sign Feiler, and, I really like this kid

#116 Nico Collins/WR/Michigan (I wanted to add another tall target, & he was still there, so...)

#203 Jonathan Cooper/Edge-OLB/Ohio St (BPA, and hey, more edge pressure depth can't hurt, right? We lost 'Zo & X-Man last year before the Fall leaves changed colors.)

My biggest takeaway? That we have GOT to trade down at least once! Having 6 picks in the first 76 overall was awesome! And I even managed to keep #11!! We almost can't help but get better with that many early picks. Even if Jax has asked for our 4th and next year's 4th instead of our 6th (so we lose out on Nico, but maybe add a Keith Taylor or a Tamorrion Terry?), that still left us with so many choices from among some really good looking prospects.

So, whaddaya think, guys? I see us at 10 & 6, easy, with this roster! (Unhatched chickens, counted) :)
