The New York Giants have waived wide receiver Da’Mari Scott and defensive back Shakial Taylor. Scott was claimed off waivers when the Buffalo Bills released him in the summer of 2019. He had two catches for 22 yards as a Giant in his five games at the end of 2019. Scott also returned kicks and punts for the Giants.

Shakial Taylor was claimed off waivers by New York, from Denver, during the summer of 2020. Taylor never saw the field for the Giants. Both players were former undrafted free agents, and both players opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19.

Obviously, neither player figured into the team’s plans for the upcoming season.

The status of offensive tackle Nate Solder, who also opted out of the 2020 season, remains to be determined.
