Why the Lions’ receiver was a top target for the New York Giants

The New York Giants could have addressed a number of different needs this off-season, including pass rush, offensive line help or even a few additions in the secondary.

But wide receiver had to be be near or at the top of any such list.

Why? Just take a look at the Buffalo Bills. They added Stefon Diggs to their roster via a trade last spring, and the presence of a true threat on the outside paid huge dividends in terms of the development of Josh Allen. If the Giants are looking to improve their own young quarterback in Daniel Jones, then adding a wide receiver would be a wise investment.
