Can the Giants beat the Raiders and give fan confidence a boost?

Did Monday’s 20-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs help or hurt the confidence New York Giants fans have in their team? Turns out, the loss hurt fan confidence fairly severely.

Confidence in the Giants dropped from 42 percent after a Week 7 victory to just 26 percent after the Week 8 loss to Kansas City, per the results of our weekly ‘SB Nation Reacts’ poll.

The Giants, who expected to be competitive in the NFC East this season, are now just 2-6 and in last place. That follows a 1-7 start in 2020, Joe Judge’s first season as head coach.

The Giants host the 5-2 Las Vegas Raiders this week at MetLife Stadium. The Raiders lead the AFC West.

The Giants will not have Saquon Barkley (ankle) for a fourth straight week, but might have wide receiver Kenny Golladay. Golladay has missed the last three games with a knee injury and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.
