The 2-5 New York Jets are set to take on the 3-5 Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football at Lucas Oil Stadium to kick off Week 9 of the NFL season.
The Jets will be riding their biggest win of the season in which they stunned the Cincinnati Bengals, 34-31, at MetLife Stadium in Week 8. With starting QB Zach Wilson sidelined due to injury, backup signal-caller Mike White got the start under center. He put together a record-setting performance in his first career start, recording 405 passing yards and three touchdowns.
White will get the start again in Thursday’s primetime matchup and he will compete against Indy’s Carson Wentz.
The Colts, meanwhile, suffered a close loss to the Tennessee Titans last Sunday as they fell, 34-31, in overtime due to some late turnovers. Indy will try to bounce back and the Jets will play for their third win of the season.
