The New York Giants were hit on Tuesday by a COVID-19 scare. Per media on the scene at Giants’ headquarters, coach Joe Judge said there were 13 positive rapid tests on Tuesday
Here is a statement from the Giants:
“In light of some positive COVID test results yesterday and today, including running backs coach Burton Burns, and as a precaution, Giants players and Tier 1 and Tier 2 personnel have been required to re-test today. All players have been scheduled to be tested before practice today.”
Among those 13 positive tests, only running backs coach Burton Burns tested positive again on Wednesday.
Judge held his daily media briefing in the parking lot outside the Quest Diagnostics Training Center on Wednesday morning.

Per various reports, there are more positive tests today outside the group of 13 who tested positive on Tuesday. Those people are being re-tested. Everyone in the organization is reportedly being tested.
Judge told assembled media that there will be some players held out of practice on Wednesday due to the COVID-19 situation.
Running back Saquon Barkley is apparently one of the players who initially tested positive.
#Giants RB Saquon Barkley tested positive for COVID-19 on his initial test, source said, and he is one of several players being retested. He is vaccinated, so he needs two negative tests within 24 hours and no symptoms to play if his positive is confirmed.

The Giants have not confirmed that, or provided any names of players who tested positive on Tuesday or Wednesday.
— This is obviously a developing story. We will have more detail as it becomes available.
