CHIEFS WIN: The Giants turned the ball over on downs, failing to generate a first down. The Giants fall to 2-6. Kansas City is 4-4 after a 20-17 victory. Full recap to come shortly.
CHIEFS TAKE 20-17 LEAD: The Chiefs took a 20-17 lead with 1:07 left on a 34-yard Harrison Butker field goal. The Giants will have no timeouts remaining needing a field goal to tie.
TIED AT 17: A 36-yard Harrison Butker field goal tied the game at 17-17 with 8:53 to play. The Chiefs went 57 yards in 14 plays for the tying field goal.
GIANTS TAKE LEAD: The Giants took a 17-14 lead with 14:53 remaining in the game on a 5-yard pass from Daniel Jones to Evan Engram. That capped an eight-play, 57-yard drive that started after Logan Ryan forced a Travis Kelce fumble and James Bradberry recovered.
STERLING SHEPARD INJURY: Giants’ veteran wide receiver Sterling Shepard went down right before the half with what looked like a left leg injury. More on that when it becomes available.
GIANTS ADD THREE: A 23-yard Graham Gano field goal with 2:45 left in the half pulled the Giants within 14-10.
CHIEFS TAKE LEAD: Derrick Gore went 3 yards for a touchdown with 6:37 left in the half to give Kansas City a 14-7 lead. Gore covered the final 33 yards of an 11-play, 68-yard drive on five carries.
DANTE PETTIS INJURY: Pettis went to the locker room in the second quarter with a shoulder injury. He has been ruled out.
TIE GAME: The Giants tied the score 7-7 with 14:14 left in the half on a fourth-and-1 touchdown pass from Daniel Jones to Kyle Rudolph. The Giants’ nine-play, 85-yard drive featured a 53-yard pass to John Ross and an 18-yard pass from Kadarius Toney to Sterling Shepard.
FIRST QUARTER SCORE: The Giants trail, 7-0, but will open the second quarter with the ball at the Kansas City 4-yard line.

CHIEFS GRAB THE LEAD: Kansas City took a 7-0 lead with 6:12 left in the first quarter on a 6-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes to Tyreek Hill. The touchdown came four plays after Willie Gay picked off a pass by Daniel Jones, giving Kansas City the ball at the Giants’ 13-yard line.
The 2-5 New York Giants will invade Arrowhead Stadium Monday night looking for an upset of the 3-4 Kansas City Chiefs. The defending AFC champions are 10.5-point favorites, per DraftKings Sportsbook.
Wide receivers Kadarius Toney and Sterling Shepard are expected to play for New York. Running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver Kenny Golladay have been ruled out.
The Giants Monday placed linebacker Carter Coughlin on injured reserve and activated cornerback Aaron Robinson off PUP, among other roster moves.
