Good morning, New York Giants fans!
The Giants came out of Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints with two newly-injured players. Safety Jabrill Peppers has a hamstring injury and wide receiver/kick returner C.J. Board has a clavicle injury.
Head coach Joe Judge didn’t have much information Monday on Peppers’ availability this week against the Dallas Cowboys.
“I think it’s going to take probably a couple of days on Jabrill to kind of have full grasp of what this is looking like,” Judge said.
Judge said he is “optimistic” about Board’s injury.
The Giants victory was surely a temporary reprieve for Joe Judge, but it can also be a deceptive curse. By chalking up a rare win, he is not likely to reassess his short-sighted game management techniques any time soon. Poor decisions add up over time. Just check the "Stat Sheet" at the end of the season.
“Hopefully you all are starting to see it,” said Giants running back Saquon Barkley, after the Giants’ season-saving, 27-21 overtime win in New Orleans on Sunday. “Ever since the day he’s been drafted he’s been criticized. That guy’s done nothing but come in and work and get better and lead every single day. He’s a competitor and he showed he’s a special player.
“We knew he was a special player.”
